If she hears you say this and then you approach her for help, you have already indirectly complimented her.

Once you start asking her for help, make sure you ask her questions to figure out if she is single or not. If you don’t want to be too obvious, you can always discreetly check for a ring on her finger. Even if she is married that doesn’t automatically rule out the chance for you to hook up with her.
